Campbellford Memorial Hospital Advising Public to Avoid East Side Emergency Route of Hospital

Campbellford Memorial Hospital

Campbellford Memorial Hospital is advising the public to avoid the East Side Emergency route adjacent to the hospital due to the potential risk of falling debris from an aging generator exhaust stack.

The stack has been crumbling in recent months and poses a risk should it detach from the hospital wall. The area was cordoned off by the Trent Hills Fire Chief and his Department earlier today.

Anyone who is accessing services at CMH or visiting at the Hospital or Campbellford Memorial Multicare Lodge should use alternative routes to do so and avoid parking in the area.

Patients and families, Lodge residents, employees and public safety remains a top priority.  Our actions are taken out of an abundance of caution while corrective action can be taken.
